Hey everybody! I hope you had/are having a great holiday. I say had because we did trick-or-treat last night. Apparently, there is some rule around here against celebrating Halloween on Sunday. Those bloody pagans! ;) I dressed up as Morticia Addams. The grown-ups recognised me, but the kids didn't. How quickly they forget. *sigh*
Anyway, here are my pumpkins for this year. Enjoy! And don't forget to vote on Tuesday!!
Werewolf! There wolf!
Step into my parlor!
This was one of the most difficult pumpkins I've done. It's the letters (mostly the esses).
And this is one of my best. I'm really pleased with how it turned out.

I'm a little late with this one. Sorry; I was in the middle of a book. ;) Also, I didn't italicize the ones I intend to read; if I intended, I read. I'll just read some of them over (and over) again!( The ListCollapse )
Just a couple of questions: Why did Hamlet
and The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe
get seperate listings? And how in the hell
is Mitch Albom on this list and not someone like Twain or Poe?!?!
Also, why no Asimov, Bradbury or Heinlein?
Oh yeah... I've read 54 of these. Yay!
All of these books are available free
at your local library. Check 'em out!

|Wait! I can explain everything!!
I don't know if it's significant or anything, but I've seen an awful lot of barges loaded with coal heading north up the river.

|Thinking of Swimming in the Ohio River? Think Again.
A local angler, fishing in the Ohio, caught an 18-inch red-bellied piranha. You read that right. A piranha
! Those amazonian lovelies that can skeletonize a cow in 2.3 seconds. That's a pic of one as my icon. Nice, innit? A fish and wildlife rep identified the fish and said it was most likely from someones private aquarium. This happened about 8 miles from where I live! What's next? Alligators in the New York sewers? Current Mood: confused

|I Am the Terror That Flaps in the Night!
You are never in a billion years going to guess what I got!!!
The DVD set of Darkwing Duck!! Yep! That's right! 25 episodes of the winged scourge that pecks at your nightmares. My wonderful brother Mike (who is surely the most awesome human being on the face of the Earth) gave it to me yesterday.
So while I digest this weekend and try to decide whether or not gravy is a beverage (I may do a poll on this) I will also be giggling madly at "Dr Gary and Dr Larson" and "The cows are not what they seem."
Hope you all have a wonderful (wonder-full?) Thanksgiving! Current Mood: giddy
